How do I disable Vanta on a specific site?
Click the Vanta icon in your toolbar and press "Pause on this site." Vanta will stop filtering on that domain and remember your choice.
A website isn't loading correctly. What should I do?
First, try pausing Vanta on the site (click the icon โ†’ "Pause on this site"). If that fixes it, the site has a false-positive block. You can use "Add to Trusted Sites" to permanently allow it. If the issue persists, contact support with the site URL.
Does Vanta collect my browsing data?
No. Vanta processes all filtering locally on your device. Your browsing history never leaves your browser. See the full privacy policy for details.
How do I update Vanta's filter lists?
Vanta updates its filter lists automatically. You can also check for updates manually by opening the popup and clicking "Check for updates."
Why does Vanta need access to all websites?
To block ads and trackers, Vanta must be able to inspect requests on all sites. This permission is only used for filtering โ€” no browsing data is transmitted to Folner servers.
What are filter lists?
Filter lists are community-maintained databases of known ad and tracker domains. Vanta ships with 50+ built-in lists covering ads, trackers, malware, annoyances, and regional content. You can also add custom lists in Settings โ†’ Block rules.
Can I import or export my Vanta settings?
Yes. Open Settings โ†’ Advanced and use the Import/Export settings buttons. Your configuration exports as a JSON file that you can restore at any time.
How do I remove Vanta?
Right-click the Vanta icon in your Chrome toolbar and select "Remove from Chrome," or go to chrome://extensions and click "Remove" next to Vanta.
