Everything you need to detect, save, and organize video with Flique.
Install Flique from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar. No account or sign-up is needed. Open any page with video, press play, and Flique's icon lights up when it detects media. Click the icon to see what's available and save it.
Open Flique on a page with video. Each detected item shows a thumbnail, resolution, and format. Click Download to save the highest-quality version, or use Download As… to choose a file name and location. Flique handles streaming formats — including HLS (.m3u8) and MPEG-DASH (.mpd) — by fetching and stitching every segment into a single file for you.
To save just the sound, choose Audio on any detected item. Flique extracts the audio track and saves it as an MP3 — handy for talks, lectures, and podcasts you have the right to keep. You can set "Always audio only" per site in Settings.
In Settings → Preferred video quality you can default to Highest, 1080p, 720p, or 480p. Enable Save as MKV when possible if you prefer that container. Flique remembers your choice for next time.
Flique can name files automatically and sort them into per-site sub-folders using a simple template. Open the smart naming editor from Settings to customize how files are named and where they're saved — no manual renaming required.
History is off by default for privacy. Turn it on in Settings → History to keep a list of completed downloads with their saved file names. Everything stays on your device — Flique never uploads your history. You can clear it or set it to auto-forget after a number of days at any time.
Flique runs as a toolbar popup by default. Prefer a docked view? Switch to Chrome's side panel in Settings → Panel position to keep Flique open with live download progress while you browse.
If Flique doesn't see your video, make sure the video has actually started playing — some sites only load media after you press play. Use the No video? button to force detection (this reloads the page and clears cookies for it). If it still doesn't appear, the site may use a format Flique doesn't yet support — please report the site so we can add it.
Flique does not download DRM-protected video (for example, paid streaming services). When DRM is detected, Flique will tell you rather than save a broken file. This is by design and respects content protections.
To comply with Chrome Web Store policy, Flique does not download videos from YouTube. Flique works on a wide range of other sites — see the popup on any page with video.
