LintelShort version: announcements and settings Lintel saves live in your own Wix site, in app collections that visitors cannot read. We do not collect names, emails or accounts from site visitors. Paid plans are checked out through Wix. When you open pricing for an installed site, a signed Wix app-instance token and your selected plan are briefly processed by our website service so it can confirm the site's plan and request a Wix checkout link. The pricing service does not store your announcements, settings, payment details or access tokens.
Who we are
Lintel is built and operated by Folner ("we", "us"). The app dashboard and app data run on Wix. Our public pricing page and its checkout-link service run on Folner's website hosting. Wix handles app billing and checkout. Wix's handling of your account and Vercel's handling of website-service data are covered by the Wix Privacy Policy and Vercel Privacy Notice.
Data stored in your site
When you use the dashboard, Lintel saves the following in your site's Wix Data, in collections owned by the app:

These collections are private to your site. Visitors cannot read them directly. Your own browser also keeps an unsaved draft and a reminder you dismissed, so your work survives a closed tab. The live bar receives only the published announcements and settings it needs for the page being viewed, never drafts, future messages or your notes.
Visitor data
- Lintel does not ask visitors for, or collect, names, email addresses, accounts, payment details or any other information that identifies them.
- Browser storage and consent: Lintel follows the functional and analytics choices in Wix's visitor consent policy. If Wix's consent policy is unavailable, both choices are treated as denied. Functional consent controls the local copy of the last bar content and saved dismissals; analytics consent controls the random number used to keep a visitor in the same split-test version and generic button-click reporting. The random number is kept in the visitor's browser while a split test is running and is refreshed after 30 days the next time the widget runs. A cached copy of the last bar content is kept for up to 24 hours. A saved dismissal is kept for the duration chosen in the app (1 to 365 days). Expired cache and dismissal entries are removed the next time the widget reads them, so a key may remain longer if the site is not visited again. Denying or withdrawing a consent category clears Lintel's related browser-storage keys. These browser values are not sent to Folner.
- Button clicks: when analytics consent is granted, Lintel reports a generic click event to Wix Analytics. The event does not include announcement text, message IDs, split-test variants or button destinations. Wix and analytics tools connected by the site owner may process events according to their settings.
- Lintel sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking pixels.
Dashboard usage
When you open the Lintel dashboard, the app sends Wix an app-usage event named APP_DASHBOARD_LOADED. When you successfully save an announcement, it sends an event named PRIMARY_ACTION_PERFORMED. Each report contains only its event name; it does not include your site, user, customer or visitor data. Wix may associate these events with Lintel for app usage reporting.
Plan and billing
Paid plans are sold and billed by Wix. For the custom pricing page, Wix sends a signed app-instance token. Our server sends that token to Wix for validation, uses the confirmed instance to read the current plan, and asks Wix for a checkout URL for the selected offer. The short-lived Wix access token is used only server-side and is not persisted by our code. Wix processes the payment; Folner does not receive or store card details.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or share your data or your visitors' data.
- Use your data for advertising or to train AI models.
- Send announcement content or bar settings to the external pricing service.
- Access your data except when you ask us to help with a support request.
Retention and deletion
- Your announcements and settings are kept for as long as the app is installed, so your work is never lost. You can delete any announcement at any time, and export everything to a file first.
- When a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted. The bar shows one announcement and everything else is kept for when you upgrade.
- When you uninstall Lintel, the bar stops showing on your site. To have us remove any remaining Lintel data from your site, email privacy@folner.com and we will confirm within 30 days.
- Visitors can clear what the bar keeps in their browser at any time by clearing site data in their browser.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the CCPA and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may ask to access, correct, export or erase data. Your announcements live in your own site, so you can view, export or delete them from your Wix dashboard at any time. For anything else, email us and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
The dashboard and app data run on Wix. The public pricing service runs on Folner's website hosting and only handles the Wix-signed instance token, selected plan, current plan response and Wix checkout URL needed for billing. It validates the token with Wix before acting, keeps app secrets and access tokens on the server, and does not persist those values or site content. The service and Wix communicate over HTTPS; the app's collections can only be read and changed by the app itself, and bar content is checked and escaped before it reaches a visitor.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For material changes we will also tell you in the app dashboard before they take effect.
